Will this type of heater be okay with Freshwater Cichlids? I have a 75 gallon tank.
- Thank you for your question. The 200 watt Aqueon Heater is recommended for a 75 gallon tank and is preset to 78 degrees, which should work for a Cichlid tank.

50 gallon tank
- Thank you for your question. At this time, you will need the 150W for a 50-gallon aquarium, as this heats aquariums up to 55 gallons. The 50W is good for aquariums up to 20 gallons. The 100W is good for aquariums up to 30 gallons and the 200W is good for aquariums up to 75 gallons.

Plastic tank
- Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, using any heater in a plastic tank will run the risk of damage over time. As a result we are not able to recommend using this in a plastic tank.
