Great for small mammals too!
I have this for my rats and they LOVE it. It is a great way to keep their busy minds occupied in non-destructive ways. It took a couple of weeks, but both of my rats have figured out how to manipulate the wheel to get treats out. I would agree with the previous reviewer that this is meant for medium and small birds- conures, goffins, mini macaws- but definitely not amazons, greys, macaws or large cockatoos.
Yes, I recommend this product.

only for small birds
I bought this wheel, that was advertised for medium to large birds, for my cockatoo. She took it apart within just a few minutes and managed to loose the pin, that holds the wheel together. The design is just not strong enough to be used for anything bigger than a small conure.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Is there a catch tray for the foraging system, or will treats fall to bottom of cage through grate? ...that would be wastefully entertaining.
- no catch tray and I don't recommend it for birds bigger than a small conure
