Does not work!

I have 3 indoor/outdoor cats and have used Frontline with great success for years. I chose this because its cheaper and I thought F&S would have a comparable product to Frontline. IT IS NOT! It did not work on fleas at all. Scratching and biting at fleas was the same on the days after I put it on as the days before. Wound up giving Capstar for days. DO NOT BUY!

Prior to using this product I used advantage ii and had no issues. I used this product for 4 months and after each application my cat (8lbs) responded with wheezing and coughing as if she was trying to get up a hairball, produced nothing and after a few hours was fine. Switched back to advantage this month and she had no reaction. Not sure what would cause this but I cant recommend this product. The dog treatment worked fine on 100lb german shepherd with no reactions but the oily product stayed in his fur for several days and carried unpleasant smell.

Simply Doesn't Work

I have used this product for 6 months on my 2 cats. I noticed they still had fleas after treating... same day, after 4th month. I have had to treat them twice before a month was up and they STILL have fleas. I'm also fairly certain that at least 2, maybe more, vials were empty. Only air came out. Going back to my Vet's products.

So I tried this stuff for 2 full cycles now almost 3 applications. In summary - it is a waste of money. My 4 cats and 2 dogs still have fleas. It is half the price but simply doesn't work. Buy the advantage and advantix products if you actually want results.

I had great hopes for this product and have been buying it for two years, hoping against hope that it would work for my cats. Sadly, it does not even give them relief for even one day. I dosed them the 2nd week of July and had to dose them again last week--not even a month later--in the hope of killing their fleas. It did not work. I did not have this lack of effect when using the really expensive products, and on my limited income and with 5 cats, really, really wanted this to be the solution. I will not be buying it again.

Total waste of money

Don’t waste your money buying this product. The only thing it eliminated was our money. We live in NC where the winters are not cold enough to eliminate the fleas and this product doesn’t either. Revolution is the only product that works.

Does this prevent ear mites?

  1. In my experience, yes. All 3 of my cats go outdoors all day and despite being next to woods they have not picked up fleas, ticks, or ear mites when they have been treated with this product. If you mark your calendar and keep current with your applications your cats won't know what it is to be bothered by insect pests.
