My cat has elbow dysplasia. At 11 years , the pain has begun to limit his activity. Recently he jumped, injuring one affected leg. I began to give him Duralactin regularly on the advice of my vet (plus chondroitin glucosamine). Gradually he began to put weight on the leg again. When I stopped Duralactin, he was less active, apparently uncomfortable. Unfortunately, periodically the Duralactin causes nausea & vomiting so I have to stop it for a while. Our routine that is currently working is to stop the Duralactin after 2 weeks, for a rest of about a week, then back on.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Our 14 year old cat tore his acl and meniscus 2 years ago. After surgery, our veterinarian recommended Duralactin to help with his mobility and to counteract any arthritis he may experience going forward. After just a month of daily Duralactin, our "old" cat seemed to get his spring back. He was able to jump and run as if he were 6 years younger. We have maintained him on this supplement , and 2 years later are still impressed.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My vet suggested Duralactin for my cat, as he probably has arthritis. It seems to help him, and he loves to eat it when it is sprinkled on his food.

I've been giving Big Guy this product since May 2013. It's has been a miracle for him. He was hobbling before I started him on the Duralactin. Now he's running through the house again at 16 years old. Worked wonders on his arthritis!

This product works great. I haven't had any burnt out brown spots. My dog doesn't like to eat the tablets out of my hand so I add one tablet to each meal and she eats them with her food. I would highly recommend this product!!

We have 2 large dogs - a lab mix and a purebred lab and we LOVE this product. Our grass is perfectly green, in fact the greenest spots are where are dogs urinate the most frequently. They take them like treats an as long as we are consistent with giving it to them, we have experienced no brown spots.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this safe to give to a cat with diabetes, is it sugar free

  1. This product is an anti inflammatory derived from a milk protein base. Its not glucosamine. There is no sugar listed on the label, so I believe there is none in the capsules. This was recommended by our Veterinarian who suggested we use it in conjunction with glucosamine for our senior cat.

how does dried milk protein help with inflammatory conditions?
