Well for starters it looked great. I've heard complaints about it not holding shape but it was fine for me, however.... I was bending it and out of nowhere it broke in half. I had it for 24 hours...

Disappointed with product

I purchased a large and small Exo-Terra Jungle Vine for my new Repti Breeze 18"x18"x36" screen terrarium. I was expecting bendable vines that would hold the shape I wanted. These vines do not hold a bent shape. They are soft and too limp to use in a screen terrarium. They just lay on the bottom of the cage. I wanted to bend them in an upward spiral shape and drape silk vines over them for my Chameleons. I do not want to suspend them with wire through my new screen cage. In addition the decorative exterior coating on these vines crumbles off when they are handled.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Bought this for a 20L tank for my hermit crabs the vine was a great length and was long enough for the vine to go across the tank with room to spear for the vine to twirl and the material is great! my hermit crabs love it!

Yes, I recommend this product.

My carpet python will not leave this vine since I put it in. It was a little confusing to set up since I wanted to hang it from the mesh part of top, and it doesnt come with hooks, I used some twist ties. It works great though, I would def. reccommend it.!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought a large sized branch for my male crested gecko. I cut this branch in two and then twisted them together. When twisted these branches are super strong and look amazing! It looks really natural too. My crestie loves this branch and he spends almost all day on this!

Yes, I recommend this product.

This vine is realistic looking and is very bendy and easy to twist! It looks great in my crabitat when I put a plastic plant with it! My hermit crabs love to climb on it and it allows them to go higher up in the tank. It's almost like a second level! Definitely worth $8!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not worth it

I got this so my reptiles could climb on it but I don't use it because pieces break off & you can't shape it the way you want it to without it going back to the way it was in the package.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can this be cut?

  1. We do not recommend cutting this product.

would this work with a juvenile green tree python?

Is vine good for tarantula habitats?

      Is this safe for fish?

      1. I wouldn't recommend it for fish because it will break off into the water.

Could this vine work for a ball python of any size?

      1. For smaller / younger Ball Pythons, yes. The 1/2" x 6' works fine. It's better when its "doubled-up" though and tied to the cage with "twisty ties". For a full grown Ball, I'de stick to Grape Vine but you could always just twist 2 or 3 of these together instead if you want the jungle look. For the $ you would spend on two or three of these though, you could find a really nice length of the "grape vine" that would last alot longer.

      How do you hang these?

      1. no you just simply prop them up on the wall. you could add suction cups if you wanted to

Can you use this for a bird?

      1. I would say yes, because it can be used for frogs (which are very sensitive to things). I think this would work well with birds.

Do you have to wet this down before you put it in the tank? I have a male leopard gecko.

      1. No need to wet. I have hermit crabs. I twisted it and strung it through the aquarium. It stays in what ever shape you put it in. They have been coming out more to climb. They get depressed in the same environment without much to do.
