Great little tank

I am so happy with this tank. I set it up for salt water and have a few hermit crabs and a beautiful damsel fish. It is very easy to maintain and looks great on my nightstand.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Now that I have had the aquarium cycled and have introduced my betta for over 2 weeks, I am generally pleased with this all-in-one 2.6 gallon. I found the outflow of the pump to be much to strong for my betta (even on the lowest setting) but that was an easy fix with a piece of aquarium foam jammed into the spout. I added one silk plant and a live anubias attached to a piece of driftwood.. I love it and so does my fish!

Yes, I recommend this product.

This is my first tank, it is for my office at work. I m learning how to care for a tank, this one seemed easy to set up. It is a little pricey but worth it. Nice looking, works well, quiet. I had one question for set up and ended up asking a coworker. It was pretty easy. If your looking for a little calm in a small place, this is a good buy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a beautiful tank - what a terrific design. However, it arrived with a part missing and it took over a week to get the part once we contacted the manufacturer. So leave yourself plenty of time for tank set up. My betta is really enjoying all the room he has in this 2.6 gal tank. Other reviewers advised to set the flow to the lowest setting and then stuff some plant leaves into the filter spout. This worked great. Very low flow, which doesn't disturb the betta. He actually goes over near the spout and swims against the current for exercise, then goes to another part of the tank to rest. He's very playful.

Yes, I recommend this product.

beautiful little tank. using it for my betta. reviews complained that the waterflow from the pump is too hard for a betta. i had to turn it to the highest level then put a plastic plant in front and the surface of the tank is virtually still, which is perfect for a betta. i really wanted the Edge but was a little too big for my computer desk. plenty of room for a 9" heater in back too.

Yes, I recommend this product.

How often does the filter and biomax need to be changed?

  1. We recommend the following maintenance schedule for the filter media: Foam block: Rinse every 6-8 weeks, replace every 12 months Carbon insert: Replace every 2-4 weeks Biomax insert: Rinse every 6-8 weeks, replace every 6-8 months

Just want to make it clear that the pump and its cord will be submersed in water??

  1. The pump, not the cord...but it neatly lies on the outside partially in a track. Also, I would recommend a small heater. You can find them for $10-$15.

The mfg website said that the kit came with Aquafin treatments?

  1. I didn't have aquafin treatments in my box either, though I don't remember seeing it on the box.

How does the filter install in the compartment of Fluval Spec III?

  1. The pump and filter media sit in the chambers in the back of the aquarium. The pump pulls the water through the media and recycles it back into the aquarium. The chambers will remain full of water.
