You can buy carbon and little bags and make them yourself. But why, when you can buy these. It will clear the water with the carbon and get rid of ammonia with the Zeo, and the water is crystal clear. The less mess and ease and quickness of these bags are worth the price.

I have a 125 gal tank w/ goldfish. I have 2 fluval 450 filters and alternate cleaning them monthly. The Zeocarb keeps the ammonia down. Very satisfied until I can afford a bigger filter

Can the Fluval ZeroCarb be rinsed and reused like the ultragrade?

Thank you for your question. While some forms of zeolite can be soaked in saltwater to recharge their absorptive abilities, we do not recommend attempting this with the Fluval ZeoCarb. This media would need to be replaced monthly.
