Purchased this gate for two fold purpose. Transitioning newly adopted rescue cat into a two dog and one cat home. Wanted sonething high enough to resist jumping over and open enough to allow slow contact. Gate up for one week and all 4 pets sit on either side safely and works great. Will use it at our vacation home for the dogs to be safe on the front deck since black bear frequent our yard and prevent them from chasing when I am doing yardwork. Great product and I would highly recommend it based on the strong construction and value.

Well built and affordable. Unfortunately, my golden retriever was jumping it...all 44" of it's height! On to agility!

I needed gate with height for night time seperation of 2 cats that just can not get along..works great and gives my older cat peace of mind not to have to look over her shoulder all the time

Very good. Needed a higher gate as puppy could jump the other one we had and then would start to chew on things she wasn't supposed to.

I bought this gate to try to keep my two dogs locked in the mudroom during the day instead of their crates. I came home from work, on the first day of using it, the my dogs standing there welcoming me into the house. They went right through the wire cage part of this gate. The gate was still standing there, but it had certainly NOT fulfilled it's purpose. Nice waste of $60!

We acquired a rescue boxer of 5-6 years of age, and were looking for a way to confine her to a small room when we stepped out for a couple of hours. The first time we tried she knocked the gate over, probably because I didn't have it set tight enough. The second time I was careful to have it very tight, and she tore the wire mesh loose enough to get out. Probably would work okay if your dog isn't as determined to get out as ours was.

We owned one of these before, and needed a replacement. We live in an old house, and the doorway we need to place the gate in is uneven. On the old version of the gate, the rubber stoppers along the side were adjustable, making it possible to fine tune its fit in the different corners of the door. But the newer version isn't as adjustable, so our dog was able to pull back on a lower corner, and not only get out of the kitchen we'd like to confine him to at times, but he also broke the gate the first time we used it. We do like the height of the gate, it's taller than any we could find in stores. So, it might be good if you have perfectly square doorways, and your dog isn't too nervous when left alone and confined in one room.

This gate is simple to use, tall enough to keep our kitties from jumping over and easy to put up and take down. It is really a great design and comes assembled and ready to use. We just occasionally needed to block off a doorway, and this gate is so quick and easy to put up and take down. I heartily recommend this!
