How to create a comfortable habitat for you pets: Add at least 2 inches of Galapagos Tropicoco Husk to allow animals to burrow, plants to take root, or to sufficiently cover the base of the terrarium. Tropical terrarium environments require proper drainage and aridity to last longer and not pose risks to your animals; consider amending your terrarium substrate with Jurassic Fir Bark or Tropicoco Soil. A 70:30 ratio of Tropicoco Soil to Tropicoco Husk is ideal for most; balance the ratio accordingly to meet your plants' and animals' needs. Completing your tropical habitat with a thin layer of golden or green sphagnum moss will help maintain the humidity of the tank as well as make it easier to clean up and maintain your terrarium. Replace bedding once or twice a month depending on your pets' habits and terrarium size. Terrariums with live plants and ample room requre less frequent changing.
