Heartgard Plus is a monthly oral pet med used as a combination heartworm preventive and intestinal wormer.
- - Protect your dog from potentially deadly heartworm disease
- - Treat and control hookworms and roundworms (which can cause disease in both pets and people)
- - Delicious beef-flavored chewable is easy to administer
- - Most dogs like the taste of Heartgard Plus and will accept the chewable like a treat. The chewable should be administered in a manner that encourages the dog to chew, rather than to swallow without chewing. Heartgard Plus Chewables may be broken into pieces and fed to dogs that normally swallow treats whole. Care should be taken that the dog consumes the complete dose, and treated animals should be observed for a few minutes after administration to ensure that part of the dose is not lost or rejected. If not entirely consumed, give another full recommended dose as soon as possible.
- - The main ingredient in Heartgard Plus Chewables is ivermectin, which specifically targets heartworm larvae. Another use of Heartgard Plus Chewable Tablets for dogs is to help with the treatment and control of other intestinal parasites like hookworms and roundworms

Heartgard Plus must be administered monthly, preferably on the same date each month. If given seasonally, the first dose must be given within 30 days of the dog's first exposure to mosquitoes. The last dose must be given within 30 days after the dog's last exposure to mosquitoes.

I bought this this BIO-wheel a while back and I love it! I have an AQUA-tech 5-15 gallon aquarium filter. Its main biological filtration medium is a BIO-fiber. I was just beginning the hobby of fishkeeping, and did not know that I wasn't supposed to dispose of the BIO-fiber. So after I got my Penguin 350 filter, I loved the BIO-wheel idea so I installed a bracket and bought the BIO-wheel, it was a perfect fit! It spinns just fast enough collect biological material, but just slow enough to not splash everywhere. (I sleep about 3 feet from the filter) : D
Overall: I am very happy with this BIO-wheel's performance and it gives my tank some biological filtration besides the gravel, and its much more efficent. Great product!

I've had a Penguin Filtration System for as long as I've had my tank (about 10 years). It's a good basic system for the money. Recently I had to purchase a filter replacement, so I bought this one. I would say it's average, sometimes it doesn't spin correctly. For the price it's a good deal but the product is just OK.

Wow...I bought the thing, put it on my wheel, and it didn't work! It fell off, apparently the dang thing is too small. But its the exact same one for the model i have.
i hope to god this is a defect for just this bio-wheel, and not the whole filter!

- it is best to replace the bio-wheel. I too will sometimes wash them off well to extend their life, but I do that about once a week. Once they get to bad, they need to be replaced. You might also take the pump apart and clean it well. Sometimes nasties get built up in there and will cause it to not preform well.
