Based on previous reviews, I ordered the bed for my young Doberman. The cat likes it. The dog does not, except for trying to rip it apart. The large would not be large enough for her to sleep on, not that she's tried that, unless she curls up in a ball. Occasionally, she will briefly lay on it to chew a bone instead of the bed. Based on Shiloh's lack of enthusiasm, I will be ordering another bed today and hoping for the best. My own reaction is that the mocha color was a bad choice. I can't see much of it under the hair and fuzz it immediately attracts. As the title indicates, I am not thrilled.
No, I do not recommend this product.

My schnauzer loves this bed. She went to it as soon as it came out of the box. The cover comes off easily, washes well and was easy to put back on the bed. Great product ! I bought mine when it was on sale at Christmas last year.

Love the bed but not the fabric

My boys - Jake and Herk - LOVE these beds!!! I bought two and they have been wonderful except for the covers "pill" and "shed" constantly!!! The wash well and they travel well too. The fluff right back up with just a shake. The berber cover material just seems to not never stop pilling off and leaves little "balls and pieces" around the house.

Our 50 pound hound mix has plenty of room in the medium. He curls up and sinks down in it. He seems comfortable because he doesn't move around and scratch at it half the night. It does shed a little, but a small price to pay. This bed is also so much more attractive than many other beds, in my opinion.

The Good: My Boston Terrier loves this bed. I think he would never leave it if he had a choice!
The Bad: He is allergic to something on the bed. My guess is that it comes from the factory treated with a chemical or some sort of finish that is irritating to him. I am going to try to wash the cover (good thing it comes off!) and see if that helps. I would suggest that you wash it before you use it. Otherwise a great purchase.

I have two Dobermans so go through beds somewhat frequently. Just got these in and they LOVE them. They are like big puffy clouds and the dogs love to sink into them!

Will the K&H Cuddle Cube Dog Bed in Mocha in large fit a golden retriever?
- yes, I have 2 dobermans and the large is way big enough, in fact for my suv and for my office I only got them mediums because the large takes up more room. They actually fit fine on the medium because they tend to curl up. But the large would definitely be large enough for your golden.
