The quality of this sill was much better than I expected. The sill cover is removable for washing and the sill mounts easily. It's still winter here in Upstate NY so my cat doesn't use the sill much unless the sun is really warm and shining in the window. I'm looking forward to warm weather and opening the window so my cat can enjoy it.

This is a good, firm window perch. I had hoped it would hammock but it never will. My cats aren't interested (just yet) but prefer the hammock style to which I have one and all 3 wait their turn to cradle inside, also on the window. But it is a good perch. And maybe they will find rest on it eventually, being cats! :)

So far, my cat has not "discovered" the window sill seat. She normally sits on the window ledge in warm weather, when the windows are open. She will have much more room to watch the birds, etdc., when she does use the seat.

I love this shelf. It's very nicely made and very sturdy. I have a 15 pound cat that leaps on it from the middle of the room. It doesn't t budge. It was very easy to install. Needless to say , we chose to mount it with the screws instead of the Velcro. If you have a large kitty don't be afraid to try this. I think you will be please with it.

I love this product and so does my cat. He hasn't left it sense I put it on my backyard window. He only leaves it to greet me on my way inside and then returns to his new perch to watch birds and a field mouse or two flit about.

Returned it. After following the directions exactly and waiting 24 hours, cat sat on it and it fell after a very few minutes.

We did not have a traditional sill either but my husband secured two blocks of wood underneath to mimic one. You don't see the wood because the kitty shelf covers it.

Is there any way I can order just new foam & cover for the K&H Kitty sill?

Fours years ago, I purchased 2 extra Kitty Sill covers from K&H Manufacturing. Just last month I noticed that the foam was shot, so I contacted K&H but they do not carry the foam. Instead I went to Joanne Fabrics/Craft store & purchased 1 yard of high density foam ($16). I then used the old foam as a template & cut out 2 pieces of new foam. I replaced the old one & am storing the 2nd cut out piece of high desity foam for future use.
