Nutri-Berries Feeding Schedule Combine Garden Veggies Nutri-Berries with your bird's current diet. Once your bird begins eating Nutri-Berries, discontinue the previous diet. Note: Most birds accept Nutri-Berries right away. However, if your bird does not initially eat the Nutri-Berries, flatten them and mix with current diet until accepted. Once your bird is eating Nutri-Berries, feed your bird as much as will be eaten in a 12-hour period (about ten to 12 Nutri-Berries). Let your bird empty the food dish before adding more Nutri-Berries. Ideally, your pet bird will be fed twice a day, with the dish being emptied after each meal.

We have a very finicky Goffins Cockatoo. The garden veggie nutri-berries is one product he will eat consistently. The berries stimulate his foraging instincts. Our cockatoo is not a fan of raw veggies so this is a way for him to get quality nutrition. Our avian Vet gives his strong approval of this product. We mix the nutria-berries with Smith and Fosters Parrot food. Our parrot is very healthy, active and is one amazing bird.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My 27 year old African grey is a fussy ,picky eater when it comes to bird food. So many times I have tried different brands and pellets to get him off seed diets. He just loves these and several of the other varieties of Nutriberries. Sometimes he eats the others first and some he passes over them for later. The Veggie Nutiberries he will right away and I give him more at night. I am so glad he likes Nutiberries and I feel so much better knowing he is eating something that is really good for him.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My Senegal loves them and would eat nothing else if I let him. My Gray thinks they are ammunition to be thrown at the nearest passerby and does so as soon as I put them in her dish. She refuses to eat them.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My can't you ship Nutriberries and other bird foodstuffs to Canada? Other companies in the U.S. do

  1. Ipcress, Thank you for your question. We sincerely apologize, unfortunately, the products have been restricted from shipping to Canada. We would recommend contacting customs for additional information.

Can Nutriberries for parrots be used for parakeets?

  1. you can break them up and it would be like millet size. Perfect for keets and so much better than seed.

How large are the "berries" and what size birds are they suitable for?

  1. My Sun Conure and Myers Parrot love them. They are about 1/2 inch round but they are easily broken into smaller pieces for budgies. That is what I do for my parrotletts.
