This are wonderful! Not just for the winter time but also for the hot summer when the air condition in use! They have lasted for years! My cockatiels and Senegal love them! Highly recommend!

This perch gets to hot for birds feet also I called and was told it’s was a great heater for small birds this is not true it did heat the area in the cage birds sat next to it they tried it jumped right off it I put my hand on it then took it out of cage for fear it would burn there feet

All my birds have a Thermal Perch. Only problem is make sure you put wires in conduit. My Too's chewed the spiral wire outside cage in a few hours after installing. Thank God it wasn't the hot wire. Love the warm perches.

At first he was very scared, but after two weeks I found him sitting on it and he does so regularly. Because of his age he needs to be warm. It is. Rey mild but perfect for him. And it is much safer than a space heater.

My parrots have used these for several years. My sun conure sleeps on a sun deck with the thermo perch across the length of it. She snuggles close to the thermo perch and loves it. I'm glad she has the extra warmth. I've had no problems with it.

Good idea, but a 1/2-3/4" diameter perch --from attach point to end-- would TRULY be small-sized.
This perch is way too wide at the attach point, and only a small portion of it is suitable for smaller bird feet.
Also, because of the large diameter at the attach point, it takes up way too much space in a smaller cage.
Might try it again if we get more birds and use our much larger flight cage, otherwise, it was a waste of money.

I received the product in very fast time. As advertised, the product works great. Temperature of the perch is not to warm, but just perfect.
I am now giving birds time to adjust to the perch's location in the cage. Overall very pleased with the product and ease of installing. Thanks again

This is the second heated perch I've ordered recently. The first one was for a 27 year old Cockatiel with arthritis in his feet. Now that he's sleeping on his heated perch, he's like a new bird. Comes hopping right out of his cage every morning.
The second was for my Cockatoo. Her cage is cast iron and seems cold. She sleeps much better and longer now that she has a heated perch. I am very grateful for the comfort this product has brought to both my birds.

Can a bird burn their feet if they're not careful?
- No they cannot burn their feet. It isn't hot enough to burn them and if they get too warm they step off of it.

Will the small size work for my Pacific Parrotlet?
- Not likely. It is much bigger than I expected and hardly fits in his cage. He is avoiding it. However, his night perch is near it and with the little cover over the top of the cage, the cage is staying warmer than without it. He seems happy and comfortable now.

- This would never provide enough heat for winter outdoors in Minnesota.

would you suggest the large perch for two eclectus parrots in same cage or two medium.
- My Too's like to sleep close also I put a support under Thermo Perch. I have a smooth and also rough Perch. Purchased a metal food bowl with holder and used holder for support as Perch will crack with two Umbrella Cockatoo sharing.

Thermal Perch
- I would never use the sanded version with ANY bird...it's terrible for their feet. If it's too slippery, just wrap it with a layer of vet wrap. It works perfectly. When it gets dirty, replace it. It gives birds a good grip while not being irritating to their feet, and allows the heat to come through.
