During toilet training cats are likely to progress at different paces depending on their differing natures. This isn't a problem unless their differences are great, in which case some cats might need a little more help.
- Additional training discs that smooth out the transitions between discs

I have 3 cats and they do not learn at the same speed. The training is almost done for my Miminette. She's not afraid of the amber and the green disc. But my 2 boys are afraid of the first disc with the hole. They liked this new first disc with a tiny hole much more than the first one who came with the litter kwitter (base) kit.
Yes, I recommend this product.

My two cats are on the second stage of the Litter Kwitter training currently. Not sure if they needed the extra discs, but it does make the stages a little less drastic and more fluid for shaping their toileting behavior and positioning of their paws.
Yes, I recommend this product.

First, for Debbie and others with elongated oval toilets the system won't fit on and they don't tell you about - we mounted the system onto thin plywood cut a little bigger than the toilet seat with thin, sturdy elastic cord hooked around the clamps and laced through holes drilled in the plywood. We had a hole cut in the plywood to match the larger hole in the system & screwed a small board loosely to the back underneath that slides under the toilet seat like a clamp to stablize it for our toilet. Not pretty and a bit of effort but it works like a charm. We made a platform like this for our older cat and it makes it way easier for him than trying to balance on the plastic toilet seat, and it is easily removed for his humans. Next, these intermediate seats definitely should be part of the original system as they are a must for most cats, but especially young or timid kitties or for very stubborn ones like our young Siberian! Our 3 yr old male Maine Coon was a breeze (he trained by 7mo. of age in about 3 weeks with Kitty Whiz) compared to our 6mo. old female Siberian!! She is VERY stubborn and after 6+ weeks of frustration we realized the intermediate seats are a must for her and we are hoping they do the trick. Though she is still being somewhat resistant she is doing better. We got this system because it is the only one we could find that will take our big guy's weight. We thought she would learn from him. Nope. We are now having to switch seats back and forth for the 2 cats or the older one tries to regress to the litter for solid waste whenever he thinks he can get away with it and demands "his" seat when he can't. It's a pain and we have to really pay attention to behaviours and vocalizations! We find that paper litter like Yesterday's News works best because it seems flushable in small amounts where clay isn't at all. The multiple cat claim seems iffy at best, at least for us. Praise and a special treat for performing really help. Our big boy loves Greenies but our little girl adores cottage cheese. She just bats the Greenies around until they go under the fridge or the big guy snags them. Try different things until you find what works for your cat or cats. We use these treats only for potty behaviours and it has been very successful with the older cat. From our experience I think it might be much easier to train 2 or more cats simultaneously, if possible, than to have them at very different stages. However, when there is no choice do what you must because it is totally worth getting rid of the litter box!!

This multi "kat" kit was very important to my cats' training because they refused to go from the first stage (with no holes) to the next stage with the 3x5ish in. hole. I had to get this multikat kit and it worked out fine. I think this should be included in the starter kit.

Do not get this product if you do not already have the Litter Kwitter Toilet Training kit. This product is complementary to the Litter Kwitter to help with stubborn cats or multiple cats. I can't use it now, until I get the original system. I am disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

As stated these two disc should be used along with the Litter Kwitter Unit (sold separately) to help cats or kittens that are slow going or fearful of the big hole in the original amber disc... they has made the world of difference in toilet training my two cats.
Yes, I recommend this product.

These are just additional training discs. You have to buy the Kwiter Litter System which comes with a toilet seat that fits every toilet. These discs then go in that toilet seat.

that you have a standard size toilet. The ad does not list the dimensions for the toilet and only stated "standard size". I could not contact anyone about it before I purchased it, got it in the mail today and it does not fit my toilet. I would have loved to have gotten the chance to use this.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Has anyone tried to use the litter kwitter with adult cats? And with what results?

Yes. No problem with adults cats. I have 3 adults cats. They learn at different speed but they learn ;)
Only problem will be with old cats and with big/fat cat (they must be agile).

well i have 4 cats and getting a kitten. i was wondering would any one recommend using this to train multiple cats,or even if its possible to train 5.

For 5 cats you should probably have two bathrooms and two litter kwitter kits (otherwise you will have to VERY frequently be cleaning out the trays to keep them from overflowing with waste and repelling the cats from using them, defeating the whole purpose)... Would have to wait until the kitten is big enough to balance on the toilet (or will grow big enough for the later stages, as first stage is essentially just a litter on the toilet). I think anything is possible, just depends on the cats and your willingness to be persistent and patient, as it might take longer than the 6-9 weeks they advertise (2-3 weeks per stage) to complete the training. Are you willing to deal with messes and having two cat bathrooms for 3 months or longer? You'd have to progress at the slowest learner's pace, and would definitely want the multicat trays to make shaping their behavior more fluid. I'd first see how the cats respond to sharing just one or two litter boxes (if they have more now), and then slowly start moving the boxes into the bathrooms to test how willing they are to adapt to changes in where/how they toilet... could give you a gauge of their willingness to follow new changes. Cats naturally prefer to be neat, and so any accidents would simply be a communication to you that you are progressing too quickly for them, and need to slow down and be more patient-- small steps. And NEVER punish them for mistakes- will only make them fearful and resentful of you and the process. Good luck!
