Symptoms:If your ferret has ribbon like stools and has a loss of appetite, dry coughs and gags, these are common symptoms of hairballs or obstructions in a ferrets stomach/intestine.RemedyFeed Ferret Lax from the tube in the amount of 1/2 to one teaspoon, two to three times a day for three to four days. Thereafter, administer two to three times per week, more often during the spring shedding season to prevent formation of hairballs.

I bought the laxtive and it worked great!! My ferret started to get weired poo and started to hack alot so i thought... Hairball! I gave my ferret this for a few days all better and he loves the taste!!! I sometimes give my ferret a small amount to lick at when he behaves. He LOOOOOOOOOOVES it!!!! But i dont give him too much thats bad

This product is not only loved by my 3 ferrets (who don't like much), but also has saved me thousands of $$ for vets due to obstructions. Ferrets ingest things they shouldn't, and can also get hairballs. A few licks of this straight from the tube, and they are cured. My one ferret overate one night (regular food, treats, and baby food), and was miserable, dry heaves, indigestion... within 30 minutes of giving this stuff, all better.

yes it is. guinea pigs do not produce vitamin c so you have to supplement it some how. in the water is the easiest way.

What is the best Hairball Gel/Paste brand for my cat?? There’s so many on the market and I’m not sure what one to buy to help my cat pass his stubborn hair ball successfully. He’s been gagging/yaking with nothing coming up in the last 48 hours.

My long haired cat coughed up a hairball on Monday. He stopped eating on Tuesday. I took him to the vet Wednesday and was given Laxatone. He munched a few bites then walks away. I have tried baby food, tuna in oil and sardines in oil but he walks away. I even tried Vaseline as a lubricant. How long does it usually take to cough up a stubborn hairball? His vet is closed today.
