You can't ask or expect your dogs to hold it for 10 to 14 hrs. It is much easier to teach a dog not house trained to use the pad (Skipper ..not house trained...runs from the pad to the open back door several times before deciding to use the pads before running outside. Not want I want but he has the right idea.Zoey..who was house trained..has the oops..I suggest get several put them in many places and have patience. It is made in the USA and it is a great product.

I purchased this to go on an enclosed and unused patio to make winter potty breaks a bit easier. I'm not sure yet if my dogs will use it, but I'm leaning towards returning it before letting them try. The materials are appallingly cheap. The plastic base feels like a disposable paint tray - brittle, thin, and very bendable. The absorbent pad is too large for the base by about an inch. It overhangs the raised edges and moves around when walked on. That would all be ok if the turf lived up to the claim of resembling natural grass. Realistic turf does exist, and this is far, far from it.

Good concept, but the grass carpet sheds. (Not attached very well.) As soon as I opened the box the grass went everywhere. I shook it outside and it just kept shedding until there were bald spots. I had to constantly sweep my floor. So I'm back to using puppy pads.

During the day, when I'm at work I leave my 2 dogs on my outdoor balcony. I used to put out puppy pads but when I return home it is torn to shreds and there are puddles in several places. With the PoochPad, I use Puppy Pads instead of the reusable pad that came in the set for ease of clean up. They took to the PoochPad right away, don't tear up the Puppy Pad beneath the "grass" mat and my balcony is clean! I hope it lasts.
