this dog house 'looks nice', but is not of great quality. When ours arrived, there were multiple cracked boards. (on front panel, as well as floor 'slats'). Also, the floor is three pieces that just 'sit' in there, nothing securing them down, which seemed a bit silly to me. The roof seemed durable though, and as stated, it does 'look' really nice once together. I just question the quality and durability of it, as pieces arrived broken, and the wood itself seemed a bit flimsy. We ended up returning ours the next day.

We bought the dog house for our 3 cats :) They love it and have the sense to go inside both for shelter from the sun AND the rain. Youngest cat is not welcome by the older 2 when they are in it together, so may have to get another small one for her. It has a VERY strong odor when first unwrapped, but that dissipates quickly once it is outside. My husband said it was a snap to put together. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

I would give them a higher score, however, they left out four nuts for the bolts. Otherwise the dog house does not leak during the rain. Easy to assemble once you buy the spare parts missing.

I love this product. It looks great in the yard. My only concern is that it seems the measurements given are outside dimensions and not inside. I have a Great Dane and he fits, but it is not as roomy as I had hoped.

Great dog house! Purchased this product online for a great price. I have 2 small dogs so I ended up going with the medium size. Its perfect for the both of them with some extra room to spare. Assembly was easy and took less than an hour. Some people commented that parts of the dog house arrived damaged. However, I did not have any problems with that. All my wood pieces came intact. No complaints. I highly recommend this product and am very happy with my purchase.

I have a German Shepherd that we rescued. He can not be inside my house. So, with the cooler winter weather approaching he was in need of a dog house. I found this one, hoping that he would like it. The ad states that it ships within 5-7 days, but it arrived at my house in about 3 days. Very impressed with the quick delivery. It is super simple to put together. It took only about 10 minutes. We got the dog to go in with a little coaxing, but he seemed to really like it. I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend this dog house to anyone.

Do you have to attach the front panel? Would this affect the sturdiness of the dog house?

it comes all in a flat box. you have to attach all sides and the roof. the floor doesn't 'attach', just three panels that 'sit' in there. i'd say it would affect the sturdiness a bit. I feel if your dog is large and/or likes to play really roughly, this doghouse is probably not the most 'durable' choice.

Yes. My dog is a big golden doodle. 78 pounds. He's tall. I wish it had a larger opening but your dog should be fine.

Yes, they should be fine. There's definitely ample room, enough for two dogs. Although, keep in mind, with the large doorway, one of the dogs will not be nearly as sheltered.

Does the roof come off or on hinges?

You can 'partially disassemble' it if you'd like the roof off, but it's not on hinges or 'meant' to be removable. Though, honestly, with the size of the doorway, you could likely just 'climb' in it a bit if you needed to spray the insides.

The roof is lined well and "shingled"(decorative textured tar paper), so I feel like the roof is sufficiently waterproof. Though, the floor is slatted, so if a large amount of rain, would easily seep up from the floor. Also the doorway is quite 'open' so depending on the amount of wind during the rain, the rain could blow in pretty easily. (though there are 'plastic strip' doors you can purchase separately that might help with deterring that).
