I have two dogs, a Chiweenie & a Yorkie. I bought it for the chiweenie because she loves sitting on the console of my 2014 KIA Sorento SUV looking out the front window; but, I wanted her to be safe. To my surprise, they both ❤️ this car seat so much that I want to get another one for the back seat's console (b/c now whichever one is in it-gives the other "the lip treatment"). At first it looked too small for either of them (like they'd just barely fit). I figured I'd try it anyway and I'm glad I did. They can sit up comfortably or lay straight (maybe a slight bit of curl) and seem to quite enjoy resting their head on the edge. It's soft yet sturdy. The harnesses work well and it's simple to set up. Fabric looks great (blends in with my black interior). The Yorkie, who normally has SEVERE anxiety in the car has really taken to this car seat. I think because it sort of cradles his body it takes the bumpiness out of the ride, he can still see & latches him in; he feels safe. He is totally peaceful while driving now!!! Amazing because he usually drives me bonkers. This is why I now need another one. It's so nice seeing him enjoy the ride but, he stole my chiweenie's spot! Lol. MANUFACTURER SUGGESTION: If one improvement could be made: PLEASE DESIGN A 10" width one. This 8" one fits my little ones well but, just a tad more room would be awesome! Most mid size SUV's are 10" wide from seat to seat and it would help to really keep the seat even more secure in the event of a collision. Perhaps a more non-slick rubber grip bottom too. That's it though. Otherwise, this is PERFECT!!

My dog felt much more secure and liked being able to look out the front window. When he is tired, he rests his chin on the ledge of the dog seat. It fit nicely onto my Infiniti console and was easy to install.

My 6 lb. Chihuahua has room to lay down, stand and sit comfortably in this seat. She is very short but it's just the right height for her to be able to see out which she loves to do. It secures to the carseats with straps, not just the console and there's an adjustable strap that hooks to her harness but those are not shown in the picture.
