using as backup feeder

This feeder does not secure to cage snug-- it's loose-the lower hanging part that hangs is made for large cage bars, the upper loop on top is built for very small cage bars (so neither fit my medium-bar cage), and it's a huge storage capacity for budgie, finch, or canary. I'm using this for pellet food, harder for bird to soil the food. I'd recommend this for larger cockatiel or parrot, or if you have more than 2 birds, or really large cage.

Excellent product, other silo feeders did not hang securely to the cage. I have been searching for feeders to replace old (15 yrs. old!) secure feeders. This one does the job perfectly. I use them for seed and water. I will buy extras for the future. I travel a lot and these insure there will be plenty of food and water for 3 days. Great Product!

Can I hang it to a tree?

Does this feeder fit for cages with only horizontal bars? (a hagen vision cage)

Does this feeder work with horizontal bar cage?
- Yes, it would, but not snug. See picture of product lower left two small hangers. They would hang a little loose. The upper loop bracket only works vertically. I'm placing this feeder at the bottom of cage floor until I can find a spacer for the lower two handles or hangers, and placing the upper loop partially on the outside of the cage, not secured to the cage bars.
