A nightmare to put together only to discover near the end that neither of the poop catching trays fit. Going to have to get a piece of Tupperware and put it on the floor. Bird comes tomorrow

My Gold Cap Conure loves this cage. Lots of room to move around, and get into trouble. The only down side is the 2 food bowls that are on the same side, none of my birds will eat out of the bottom bowl.

what is the spacing and thickness of the bars? Is this cage appropriate for a large cockatoo?
- My umbrella would break this bar thickness. If your cockatoo is not destructive it may work as far as spacing. The cage has enough inside space if you let bird have other places (another perch, play stand).Dr F and S has articles on this. 26 years watching mine break bars of this size.

Can the playtop be left off?
