My green anole got so brown and stressed out when he was shedding until my sister gave me this spray she had used on her cornsnake before. Now he is less stressed out and he is almost done shedding. But always make sure to use water too because sometimes animals lick water droplets off their noses. I'm not saying this isn't safe for your reptile to drink in small amounts, I'm just saying water is safer to drink. But use this, and you won't regret it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I use this product regularly on my chameleon, bearded dragon, leopard geckos, and frogs. It seems to really help their scales moisturize while they are shedding. Moisturizes much better that water. I wish Zilla would create a super-sized version!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this recommended for ball pythons?

  1. It can be used for Ball Pythons. They are not a desert animal.

Can I use this to spray my bearded dragon to hydrate it instead of having a water dish?

  1. I would not recommend using this product on a bearded dragon unless they are having issues shedding. This product is made for reptiles that live in more humid environments. Bearded Dragons are desert and arid climate animals. A water dish is better for them.

is this ok fr tree frogs

  1. Yes, it will actually soothe their skin.

what is misting?

  1. Mist means... lightly spray. Have you ever been to the ocean? When you stand on the beach near the water, and you get a small spray of ocean water on your skin? That's mist. Misting is something you do to keep your pets' skin moist. In my case, my bearded dragon RARELY ever drinks water. He occasionally drinks when we give him a warm bath... but other than the bath every few days, we "mist" him with a spray bottle with warm filtered water once a day in the hotter times of the day. He seems to enjoy it a lot too. :)

Is this safe if a little bit of this lands in your reptile's water bowl while you're misting their cage?

  1. Beings this is meant to be sprayed on your reptile's skin, and that most reptiles absorb moisture through their skin using osmosis, I cannot see why it wouldn't be. The aloe vera may have a slight laxative effect on your beardie if there is enough of it in there... but I know mine has bitten off some of our aloe plant before and only had slight issues, and that was aloe straight from the plant.
