It's nice to be able to purchase these at a price that people can actually afford. And they are delivered in a timely manner. And these bulbs last for months.

I have purchased this product several times for my African Grey parrot. I use it in the winter to keep her warm. I get a 75 watt and she loves it. The red light is nocturnal or in other words most animals aren't bothered by it during the day or night. I keep my room temperature pretty cool so this is helpful to control expenses on heating bills. I don't think many bird owners use this kind of light for their birds, and I would recommend that they give it a try!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Does the ZooMed infrared bulb fit in the 5.5" or 8.5" clip on lamp you sell?

  1. Thank you for your question. The 50 watt bulb is about the size of a standard incandescent bulb and will fit in either size of the Zoo Med Deep Dome Lamp Fixtures.

How do we get a new light for my radio dog fence?

What wattage should I get for a 20 gallon high aquarium? I have a leopard gecko.

    1. Thank you for your question. If you wanted to use a heat lamp, we would recommend a lower watt heat lamp for Geckos, such as the 50 watt bulb, in a 20 gallon size tank. The temperature should range from 75°-85°F by day with a 90°F basking area; 70's by night. We would recommend that you also have a good thermometer to be sure that the temperatures are appropriate for your pet.
