I waited a couple of months before posting a review, to give a fair one. I absolutely love it! I ordered the small tree for my Budgies and they love hanging out there. It is super sturdy and a bit heavy. I love how you can easily screw on and off the food holder. If you weren't able to, cleaning out the holder would be difficult considering the weight. Yes, seeds are going to fall out and probably onto the floor but it's easy to clean up. The tree is a very nice size for being a small. The branches seem to fit a tiny Parakeet's feet very well. I would definitely recommend it!

base too small / cup won't screw on

I LOVED the wooden branches, but they stuck out past the base, so every poo landed on the floor! Didn't risk any food, since it would have gone everywhere but the base. If the base had extended 6 inches or so beyond the branches, I, and my cockatoo, would have been thrilled with the large unit.
No, I do not recommend this product.

It is well built, looks nice, and all in all a very good bird stand.
The only issue I have with this product is that I ordered one that was too large! :) I purchased the medium size and we have a cockatiel. I was focused more on the footprint. The diameter of the various branches are more suited to birds larger than a cockatiel... I would imagine a conure up to some of the larger birds would be fine.

Is the small java tree good for a parrotlet?
- Yes, I think it would be good for a parrotlet. I have parakeets and I got them the small size and they love it!
