I purchased 2 of the larger sized footballs (in different orders couple weeks apart) for my 63 lb Husky-mix who loves to fetch. He loved them. Unfortunately, the squeaker became dead in the 1st ball in less than a week. The 2nd ball became completely destroyed after less than 3 weeks; felt torn off and football chewed in half. These Kong toys should truly be durable if they are to portray that they hold up to rough play.

My 75 lb mix plays with this ball periodically. When we first gave it to him, he played with it for a little bit, not non-stop like he does with the isqueak balls. He immediately started to rip the "velvet" material off of the ball. It's been a week and there's at least 60% of velvet material left. He still squeaks the ball periodically but not enthusiastic about it. For now, I would say the ball is durable. It's been a week and the squeaker isn't dead yet. Overall, this is a decent product.

Just got a dog from our local shelter and this football was the first toy he went to... He loves it and so far seems pretty durable.

This is a great toy and my Old English Sheepdog loves to catch or chase it. Fun to throw, good "float" factor and has an erratic bounce because of the football shape, stronger rubber than a traditional tennis ball, easy for the dog to grip and squeaky. The only downside is that after a while my dog will loosen and tear off panels of the felt covering, then he can get and chew through the rubber. So I've bought several of these! KONG could probably solve the issue by making the felt solid around the football instead of having the plastic "laces" part, which allows my dog to get his teeth under the cover.

My 2 1/2 year old Golden Retriever has loved these Kong squeaky footballs since he first got one as a pup. It's his all time favorite toy to carry around, fetch, and play keep away with. He also likes to drive everyone crazy with the squeaking when he really gets into wanting someone to play with him. His favorite thing with this football shape is when you throw it end over end, it bounces high while spinning and he loves to do his acrobatic jumps and catches. He does chew at and will eventually pull off the felt, but it still lasts over a year, with or without the felt. He is on his 3rd one and getting at least 1 new one for Christmas.

rugged, entertaining and durable...need I say more?

We usually love the Kong brand, but this specific football only last 2 days for my lab. She did not use the ball as a "chew toy" but rather played catch with my husband. The part of the ball where the logo was displayed made the quality of the ball weak, causing a hole to appear.

Gave this ball to my 1 year old red heeler and he will not put it down! My other dog (boxer mix - 4 yrs old) chewed the felt covering off, but the heeler still carries it around throwing at my feet to play catch! He carries it all the time squeaking it constantly! Other than the felt covering the ball has been very durable!
