This is the one you want, pro or amatuer, and while it only has one speed, I have never had a need for more than one speed. Works for Dogs, Cat, Alpaca, Sheep, Wooly Mammoth, etc. Will not bog down, but can need sharpened after about 100 uses.

This clipper set came with a hard plastic case and a set of clipper guards. Other sets I looked at did not and would have to be purchased separately. I researched clippers before buying and decided on this one because of the good reviews and it's quietness. My old clipper set was loud and frustrating to use. This one is much quieter and more enjoyable for me to trim my 5 lb. Pomeranian. He will sit still while using it. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Since I don't have a large dog, I can't comment on how it would work on larger breeds, but would expect it to be the same.

I bought these clippers after not much success with another set of Andis I bought in a set.. It cuts very well but it does get hot.. I do have the cool spray cleaner that i use on it when cutting my cocker spaniels.. I would not recommend this to anyone I would suggest you order the Andis AGC 2 speed clippers instead.

I just bought the clipper set from my local store, and will be returning it after trying it out on Baxter, my Yorkie. It gets too hot while clipping, and didn't make it half way through a grooming without becoming too hot to continue... cuts well, though, for a set. I'm going to go for the 2 speed professional AGC clipper.
