I use Just a dash of this in my planted aquarium. Plants don't necessarily like it nor do plecos or catfish. I use just a small amount to help keep my fish happy and parasite free. helps fish regrow damaged fins and promotes healing in general.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I've been using this product for years and years in my South American cichlid tank. It's essential for your fishes health. It helps them to better absorb the oxygen in the water, it also helps the fish fight disease. I would highly recommend this product if you're serious about your fishes well being.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This product may have had its place back in the day. But it is outdated in today's freshwater world. If you have ich, water changes and a good med like Kordons or Seachem Paragaurd is the way to go! All raising the temp. does is lower the oxygen in the water and the salt irritates the fish.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello! I can use aquarium salt and let the fish inside?

  1. It has helped other people keep their tanks clearer. Add 11 rounded teaspoons of salt to a gallon of water. Draw off one gallon from your aquarium and add back a pint of the salted water every hour until the whole gallon has been replaced and no harm will come to your fish. If it does not help you have not lost much and should look into a more efficient filter or try replacing the water like salt water aquarists do.

i own a green spotted puffer and he is about 2 inches give or take and i add aquarium salt to his water everytime i do a complete water change about

    1. Puffers are pretty tolerant to a relatively wide range of salinity. The easiest way to measure the salinity is with a hydrometer that actually is determining the density of the water. Fresh water is 1.000 and sea water is 1.025. The puffer is reportedly content in anything from 1.004 to 1.022. The instant ocean salt is cheaper in the long run and is not significantly different than aquarium salt.
