I found this test much more precise and easier to read than the test strips. The strips are more convenient but when I want a more accurate reading I go with this kit.

the testing strips are easier to read than using the the water sampling kit....... if you use the water sampling kit it does not read correctly especially if your fish that are in a higher alkalinity range. this then would require you to buy another kit to read the higher pH range correctly

I HAVE USED THE API LOW RANGE PH TEST KIT FOR YEARS IN ALL MY AQUARIUMS WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS. IT IS VERY COST EFFECTIVE AND ACCURATE.

This pH test kit is very easy to use. Only two solutions need to be added to your water test sample. The pH measurment is by color comparison to supplied chart. Color development is rapid, no need to wait.

Good product at a low price

I looked for test kits locally in order to test the pH of my well water and monitor the effectiveness of my water treatment system. The local stores wanted a lot more money and bundled in things I didn't need such as hardness test kits, iron tests, etc. This is great for aquarium users as well, to avoid shocking your fish by placing them in water that is more alkaline or acid than they are acclimated to at the pet store.
