Inconsistent

Last year, I used API algaefix and API sludge destroyer, as directed, to start up a new pond that had turned green. It worked great! Subsequently, maintenance went fine, but following winter, the UV light went out and by the time I noticed the pond was green again. With the light fixed I tried a new batch of algaefix and sludge destroyer, and this time there was absolutely no effect. Still trouble shooting why it did not work this time, perhaps a pH effect or a different strain of algae? Bottom line, an inconsistent product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

this product is in powder form

Being a light weight powder, it does not sink to the bottom where the sludge is, Needless to say, it did not work on cleaning up the bottom of the pond. I tried mixing it with pond water and it did not sink of course.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Never had my pond water so clear!

For the last 4 years I have been using various products to keep my Koi ponds clear, often using as many as 2-3 different products a month. After many frustrating hours of pond cleaning, I bought the Pond-Zyme Sludge Destroyer because I had heard that barley (which is an ingredient in this product) helps to keep water clear. WOW! This product is excellent. I highly recommend it. I have thrown out all my other chemicals, and will be using only Pond-Zyme from now on!

Yes, I recommend this product.

i put algaefix in my 3000 gal pond today when should I add pond zyme

  1. ChgoMan, Thank you for your question. You can use any of the API products in conjunction with each other as long as you are dosing the products accordingly to the label. You do not need to wait a specific amount of time before adding the Pond Zyme to your pond after adding the Algae Fix.

how long will it take to clear up my 16 x 8 pond?

  1. Thank you for your question. This product will begin to work immediately but the source of your algae growth will also need to be addressed as well.
