I have been using the API Tap Water Conditioner for 11 years since I first started keeping goldfish as pets. I found that the conditioner works like a charm without having to age water first. When I clean the fish tank and add new water from the tap, I pour in 3/4 to 1 capful of conditioner for 40 gallons. I usually do a 80% water change for the goldfish. I know some people say to just do a 25% weekly water change but goldfish are very dirty and it also depends on how many you have. There is enough beneficial bacteria in the filter and decorations and my fish are very healthy and happy. The solution is highly concentrated and a little goes a long ways. I highly recommend this product and use it in conjunction with Stress Zyme and Stress Coat each time I do a water change. They work well together hand in hand like a well fitting glove.

THIS IS A PRODUCT THAT I WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT WHEN I AM SERVICING AQUARIUMS. IT IS USED EVERYDAY AND GIVES SUPERB CONDITIONING . I USE BLEACH TO CLEAN PLASTIC PLANTS AND PLASTIC ORNAMENTS AND IF YOU DON'T GET ALL , AND I MEAN ALL OF THE BLEACH OFF , YOU WON'T HAVE ANY FISH!!! THE CONDITIONER IS EXTRA STRENGH AND HAS BEEN THE MOST WONDERFUL PRODUCT THAT I HAVE USED IN MANY YEARS.

I use this for my goldfish that I keep in my horse watering tanks! Keeps the fish alive and doesn't hurt my horses.
