Got these for my 5" pleco - he swims towards them as soon as they hit the water. He looks super healthy, so I'm happy with this food.

I had been feeding my 11 inch pleco another type of food (I can't say what since i'm not supposed to talk about competitors) when I ran out and decided to go Aqueon. WRONG! My pleco produced so much waste that it was evident he was getting little or no nutrition from the food. When a fish produces waste, that waste is everything he cannot use. My fish was probably putting out about 3/4 of what he took in. That means that 3/4 of this product is filler. My tank was an absolute wreck. I switched back to the other brand and sure enough, my pleco only produced small amounts of waste, and my aquarium was back to normal. Maybe this product works for other animals, such as shrimp or snails, but it did not work for my pleco.

This is a great food source for algae eaters like plecos and chinese algae eaters <---( actual name not racist) and my fish love it too. They sink to the bottom, and can be left there for two hours without dissolving, plus they dont creat algae in your tank.

My algae eater / (PSYCHO) loves them, i drop them in, he can be on the other side of the tank and he must be able to smell it because he comes right over and just sits and top of that thing and guards it from the other fish. I can drop it anywhere in the tank and he goes right after it.

I got this for my cory cat but i have no seen him eat these since i got them.So i mostly just give them to my whiskered shrimp cause they love them.So if you have any type of shrimp id buy it for them.

This is a good food to feed algae eaters such as plecostamaus or otocinclus. Eating only algae off of things inside the tank is not enough for them and this provides the additional food they need.
