This top is the very best I've seen in my 65 years of Aquarium keeping! I've keep a tank going all my life with the exception of my time in Viet Nam. It fits my 30 gallon perfectly. A ways back I bought another brand for my 50 gallon, its just not the same quality. This Versa Top has clearer and thicker glass. It makes the tank look great.

Read if you have a 40 breeder!! I bought the top without reading the description that the 36x18 top fits 50/65 breeders. The top comes in two pieces which fit 50/65 breeders since they have a middle brace. This will not fit a 40 breeder which does not have a middle brace. So I will have to fabricate something for the middle to support the two pieces which is not a big deal. As for the three star review, I wanted this to stand out and catch someone’s eye so they don’t make my mistake. This is my third versa top and I am a huge fan. It’s a 5 star product. They fit my 36 gal bow and 10 gal like a glove and the plastic pieces are easy to modify for whatever filters or heaters you have. The glass is thick for the larger tank sizes which is a plus.

Received it today (June 20th, 2018) the shipping box was a little rough but it was packed good and fits PERFECT on my 20 gallon HIGH!!!! The glass was so clean and smooth great quality!!! Would definitely update if anything changes.

This top is in two pieces, a fact that completely escaped me when I tried to figure out if it would fit my 40 gallon breeder. I now have to make a cross brace on my tank, or go through the hassle of returning this and wait for another one. Poor description format. 36" x 18" does NOT suggest two pieces to me. The pieces are about 18" x 18" each.

Never had a problem with this brand of tops. Just got the 48x18 for my 75gal and the two panels fit perfectly! Arrived in great condition and a lot sooner than expected.

I've been looking at this product for months for my 5.5 gallon Betta aquarium. I finally got it in the mail today and I was very pleased with the construction of the lid. It's simple, clean, and seems sturdy. However, I am sad to report that it doesn't fit on my tank. When I try to fit it down into the little groove around the top of the tank to secure it, one side is too long to sit into the groove neatly so the lid isn't even close secure. The bigger issue for me, though, is that the back panel that can be trimmed to make room for filters and such isn't wide enough. The filter on my tank sticks out too far for even trimming a space for it to fit to be helpful. It would have been much more ideal if the entire back panel had been made of a trimmable material rather than glass. I'll either have to send this lid back or buy a smaller filter in order to use it. Bummer. :(

I bought two 24" canopies (for my 55 gallon freshwater) in Nov 2015 and in April 2018 it is in need of replacement. The clear plastic strip in the back is extremely brittle, cracking, and discolored. The black plastic hinge that holds the two panes of glass together is now also splitting and will probably soon separate. The glass also seems a little permanently etched/stained. I have two 55w T5HO lights above the canopy. My water is pretty soft. So I don't think my aquarium conditions are very extreme and justify this quick breakdown.

The 24" does not fit the Top Fin 20H tanks. They are about 1/4" too long.
