what is the difference between BB Freedom and the small breed grain free product?
The second ingredient is chicken "meal." I thought we should stay away from ingredients containing the word meal. Is this bad?

What size are the Small breed kibbles of Blue dog food
- The kibble bits are about the size of a green pea or smaller. They are easy for my Bichon to eat and provide plenty of "crunch factor".

- No her ears were checked yrs ago by my vet she has food allergies.If you read what I wrote you would have seen the itching her ear stopped within a month of putting her on the premium edge.I was looking for a blue buffalo food like the premium edge

Why don't the new, healthy dog foods sell small bags so I don't go broke trying them out?
- I don't know the answer but I do agree with you on this one. Very hard to buy a large bag or even the 5 pound bag and find out the dog does not like it. Sometimes the manufacturers are in the pet stores and have sample bags. This is a good time to try out other foods. My Lhaso who is now gone was very picky eater so it was just trial and error. A little chick broth that was not salted helped a lot.

what are the benefits of feeding my shitzu Blue dog food verses Hills Science Diet?
- I can only say that my Bichon, who is extremely picky about kibble and other dog treats, loves Blue Buffalo. Our vet recommends it highly and said we cannot go wrong choosing just about anything from their line. Comparing the labels of the two products may help you make a decision.
