Good Value Stainless Cage

I don't normally review items but I am going to give some feedback on this since I was looking for more information myself before making such a big purchase. I have only had the cage for a couple of days now so my opinions may change in the future. This is also the first stainless steel cage I have ever owned so I will not try to compare it to others.
The cage arrived via semi (yes semi). It was extremely well packed which I was happy to see. It came in two very large, very heavy boxes which were placed on a pallet. A second pallet was cut and each half placed on either side of the boxes and nailed down. The entire thing was shrink wrapped with plastic.
The cage assembles very easily requiring no tools. One box contains the front, sides, and back which are hinged together. The right and left side of the cage are also hinged in the middle to allow the cage to fold flat. The skirt was also included in this box. The second box contained everything else (2 half pieces for the dome, 2 side pieces for the dome, 3 ceramic bowls/hangers, casters, instructions, 2 grates, 2 trays, 2 bottom support pieces, and a center support for the grates).
The cage seems very solid. There were no broken parts and I wasn't missing any pieces. There were however a few areas with blemishes such as a burnt look from welding, scratches, or areas that didn't look polished. There were also a couple bars with sharp points at the ends. I used a dremel to grind them down smooth. Overall the cage looks good though.
The four side doors are actually removable so you can remove them if you choose to purchase the external feeders. They are made in such a way that when they are closed they cannot be removed. I like the fact the cage has stainless sheets around the bottom where the grates go so if you choose to not use (or need to remove) the grates your bird cannot escape. One of the trays has an attached piece which bridges the bottom supports and connects to the other tray. I didn't understand this at first but it is so when things are dropped from the cage they don't end up between the supports and/or trays.
The only other point worth mentioning is that the cage came covered in a film of polishing compound (used to polish the cage at the factory). I looked online and this seems to be a normal thing. You can feel it when you run your hands over the cage. It is slightly gritty and after assembling the cage my hands were covered with the stuff. Expect to spend a couple hours going over every single bar and support with a rag and cleaner to get it off.
I spent weeks debating whether or not to get this cage but in the end I am happy with my purchase. I think my cockatoo is going to love it. It is twice the size of her current cage and I am hoping the stainless will make it easy to clean and will be long lasting. For the money I really don't think you can beat it. Just make sure you have room for it (I'm 6'2" and can stand inside without hitting my head). The sale price here was thousands less than comparable cages made by other companies. For the price I don't mind having to file down a few sharp spots and give the cage a good cleaning.

Love the design and looks of stainless steel. However, a bottom cross piece was improperly made and supplier hopes to have a fix from China in 2 months. My blue and gold macaw broke a weld on one vertical bar after 2 days - not sure how I will fix except find a welder. The optional external feeder is neat, but macaw figured out he could lift up at the top and cause the optional external feeder to fall off the cage. Have a work around but need to come up with a more practical fix.

This is a good cage, but it wasn't easy to assemble. Thanks to my husband and his skills at trouble shooting with a screw driver and hammer we were able to get the job done. Also added cable ties to the top of the cage to keep it more secure

My blue and gold is so much more comfortable in this larger cage. He will sometimes go in even when he doesn't have to. The bar spacing makes everything much more visible. Cleaning is a breeze. It was ridiclously simple to 'costruct.' The only con I have is that the clips that hold the dome together are very flimsy. My macaw had them off faster that it took me to put them on! I had to rush to the hardwear store to buy small hose clamps to install around the two sections that make up the dome. But now it is the perfect home for my baby.

I didn't know which toy she would receive of the three when I ordered the toy but it did not matter. She got the yellow geco or lizard and it crinkles and cracks and she loves playing with it!It was well worth the little price for the amount of playtime we have!

My green wing macaw loves this cage! The cage is very easy to clean and assemble. He loves all the room in the cage and I love the way it looks! Prior cages chipped and he was able to bend bars. I've had this cage for almost 2 years and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. There are no screws for my active macaw to un-do and he can't destroy the bars. This cage may last his whole life!

This is one of my all of cats favorite toys and has been for years. They love the crinkly sound and the cat nip smell is a big hit, too. The young ones bat it around and show it who's boss, the old guy likes to rub his face on it and takes naps with his. Every year or so when they finally wear out I pick up a couple of more. The butterfly and the snake are a big favorite with my guys. :)
