My African Grey had more fun disassembling it!

The picture shows carrots covering the connector that holds this together, I used plastic beads. It will occupy the bird until treats are gone and/or she takes it apart. Not for birds that are great mechanics !

No, I do not recommend this product.

Our bird is now eating people food

Our bird has never wanted to eat anything other than bird food, but he now loves trying new things placed inside with whole peanuts. He gets to taste them while trying to get to the peanuts and we sometimes find that he has eaten them. He looks forward to this feeder everyday!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

Sort by: Newest Answers

What size parrot is this toy appropriate for?

  1. Our bird is an African Grey. Probably not good for a very large parrot. The food had to be large enough not to fall out too quickly. For instance a pea or corn kernel would fall out.

What kind and size of treats are best used with this and what does the bird need to do to remove items placed inside?

  1. I stuff millet inside this toy. Just leave a little bit hanging out so the bird can grab a hold of it and then they just nibble and tug on it
