We have a pit bull with all kinds of tummy issues and allergies (food and environmental). I have a few different foods that I was experimenting with always went back to Canidae because they loved it and my dog handled it so well. He can't have chicken/eggs so I buy the bison and fish. His stool was solid, no allergy issues with the food - I'm sold!

I will NEVER buy anything else! I switched my 4 dogs to this after HOURS of researching all over again because our long time dog food (Merrick) was bought out by Purina. Tried Natural Balance because a couple of our dogs have issues, but wasn't my preference because they had very soft stools, gas like crazy from one of our dogs, and it was a high carb low protein food. I came to this Canidae Pure Sea (Grain Free). It's everything and more than I hoped and I have high expectations! May be expensive, but totally worth it. And it maintains a healthy pet and reduces veterinary costs. Firm stools Smaller stools High quality protein based food which means less food has to be fed (but our higher active dogs get more of course) Very high protein, grain free, has probiotics, antioxidants, omegas, vitamins Simple ingredients and good for dogs with sensitivities I researched this food extensively and am confident and pleased with their quality control testing they do. Our vet profusely compliments our dogs for having perfect weight/muscle tone, great teeth, and superb skin/coat. These are the dogs we have (to show you what variety we have and this food works for ALL of them! I have never found 1 food that worked for all of them): *Senior Chihuahua - picky eater!! Has never "enjoyed" kibble even when I soak it in lukewarm water. Now that she eats this food, she's crazy for meal time, seriously! *Young Golden Retriever - major food allergies to everything and the kitchen sink and we can't figure out what. *Adult German Shepherd - built like a tank, no food issues or allergies, but difficult to keep weight on her. Now that she's on this food she has filled in perfectly and with extremely nice muscle tone - I credit this to the grain free and high protein content (this is a meat based food which I am a huge fan of because that's more natural for them). *Senior Rottweiler - a recent rescue. Severe, severe, severe issues including horrible food allergies. He was missing half his hair when we got him and couldn't pass firm stool. Nether of those are an issue anymore now that he's on this food!
