Granules Everywhere

The Cat Genie functions as it's expected. But the granules get tracked EVERYWHERE. Even the sidewalls don't contain the tracking. I won't add the dome because it's not about smell, or kicking up granules. It's about those tiny plastic pellets tracking out and the special "litter catching mat" doesn't do the trick.
No, I do not recommend this product.

you wouldn't think that just 4 inches would make a big difference, but it does. the 4 inches that the sidewalls add in height do cut down on the amount of litter that is kicked out. it also helps with the cats that spray the sides instead of sitting in the litter. the sidewalls come in 2 pieces that snap together and then sit down on the rim of the cat genie. this could be a problem in the future with litter or urine getting underneath it, but nothing this first week of use. i do think the sidewalls are overpriced for what they are.
Yes, I recommend this product.
