the dome provides my little kitty with some privacy. also she's a kicker..and this dome keeps the pellets in.

I loved the idea of a maintenance free macine, but there are sod me drawbacks. We started out new kitten out in it, so it's not a transition issue, but I'd estimate that she only uses it half the time, and that's when we take her to it when we notice she's about to be naughty somewhere. I did remove the walls as they seemed to intimedate her even more, but my poor little one is definitly leery of the Cat Genie despite our best efforts. We will continue to try because it truly is an awesome setup. Easy to set up, we hooked it to our laundry tub right next to the hose that empties the washing machine. I usually throw a load in and start both at the same time at night, and the water from the washer keeps the laundry sink nice and clean. ****REALLY WISH THAT THEY STOCKED THE CONSUMABLES IN THEIR STORE, I LIKE BUYING ONLINE FOR MANY THINGS, BUT NOT FOR CONSUMABLE ITEMS****

I bought the dome to keep my cat from getting granules all over the place. The dome does keep some of the granules in the CatGenie, but I still have a ton of them all over the floor. Mine was not easy to put together because the pieces would not snap into place. Instead of being even, one side is longer than the other (the reason it won't snap together properly). I also expected the dome to be more sturdy. At this price, the dome should fit together perfectly but it doesn't. I'm thinking of sending it back.

Our cats were too scared of it but the sides are great. I just use the sides becasue the dome makes my cats too afraid to use it. lol

This product helps keep the granules inside the catgenie.

My cat needs to have a dome over her litter box, and since I purchased the Cat Genie, this was a natural purchase. It was very easy to install, and is very sturdy. It has all smooth sides so is easy to clean.
