Overall I like the if light. It helped get My slight green alge problem under control and keep the system clearer.

I recieved 3 of these before one worked, the original item was working intermittently, the second worked for ten minutes and failed and now the third is working just fine. I would say that this item is not what I would expect from Coralife products so you can come to your own conclusions about the uv light. I will not buy another and when it fails or replace the light, instead I will be going to a different brand uv light.

very bad experience with this product, I order it and received it very fast. That was the only good thing about this particular purchase. I'm am really not sure what is the issue with this. I went through 3-4 of them in less then a month. Drsfostersmith was great during all the transactions with sending new ones and return postage for the damaged units. Finally after the 3rd or 4th one I asked drsfostersmith for a full refund which they said no problem. Drsfostersmith is a great company and I will continue to order all my saltwater fish supplies from them. So in a nut shell DO NOT ORDER THE BIOCUBE UV STERILIZER!! In closing I do have a Biocube tank and love it and never have any issues with it..just want nothing to do with the sterilizer.

This works really well. It has kept my water clear. It is hard to get on and keep on because of the small space you have to install it, but it works well on my 29 gallon biocube.

The Coralife BioCube Mini UV Sterilizer seems to work well, however, just be aware that Drsfostersmith.com does not carry the replacement bulbs. I have called and they stated they do not carry them. You will need to purchase the bulb somewhere else.

There are a lot of negative reviews out there on this sterilizer. I tried it anyway on my biocube 29. I don't use it all of the time, but when I do, I have crystal clear water. It installs very easy. The only downfall is the price of the replacement bulb. Overall I am very pleased.

Item works very well. Item is very easy to install. I feel that the plastic could be a little thicker and the bulb a little more stable inside of unit.

I had a major algae bloom in my BC 29. I couldn't even see through the tank. The water was just a green cloud for about 3 weeks. It came from nowhere, my water parameters were perfect and my cardinalfish and corals were as healthy as ever. I tried lots of different things, including water changes and that didn't help. The algae cells just kept reproducing in the new water, so finally I bought the BC UV. Ran it for about 36 hours and it was still green, but I did one 5 gallon water change and notice about a 75 percent improvement. Was going to do another 5 gallon water change the next day, but by then the water was crystal clear. I believe what happened was that the algae cells were either destroyed or "sterilized" so they can't reproduce any more. Than my water change pulled most of it out and the filter caught the rest. This UV did the trick and was easy to install. Thank you
