The Decorator Arrow Crab has mastered the art of disguise while keeping the aquarium floor clean. This crab looks like a cross between a spider crab and an arrow crab. The females are much smaller than the males. The Decorator Arrow Crab is a nocturnal creature and got its name due to the behavior they exhibit. To camouflage themselves, this Arrow Crab produces saliva that acts as glue, then attaches algae, rocks, and coral to themselves like decorations. They are a known predator of bristle (fire) worms. They can become territorial with their own species, so there should only be one to a tank. They can live on small particles of food and fish waste but should have meaty food to supplement their diet. They can prey on feather dusters and some corals, especially when they get hungry, so use caution if adding to a reef aquarium. Ensuring they have enough food will help to prevent them from picking on other desired inverts.

- - For continued health, supplement with marine algae and small marine meaty foods
- - Drip acclimation is recommended
- - Beginner hobbyist

- - Sensitive to water parameter changes

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
