what are differences between the Drinkwell drinking fountains, other than price and size?
what is this made of
- It is a heavy duty plastic; easy to clean. I like it better than the porcelain one we had.

- Never have that problem. Try cleaning the removable plastic screen more.

- plastic and very easy to clean

How much heat does the motor put out? Does the water stay cold or does the motor transfer heat to the storage tank?
- The motor does not seem to affect the water temp at all. It is not a refrigerated unit so i will be around room temp eventually. I would suggest maybe freezing a ziplock baggy fully of water or a small butter bowl and put that inside when you fill it. Eventually it will melt but definitely help keep it colder.

- It is a very light blue.

Is this waterer loud?
- Not at all. It is extremely quiet, matter of fact when I am in the room I can not even hear it run. The only time I hear anything is when it gets low on water. As the water runs out, the fountain water that is falling back down onto the filter and thru it into the basin makes a trickling noise and that is actually how I know it is running low on water. When it is completely full it is as quiet as can be. I really love mine.
