My caique and conures all love this product. One of my conures gets so excited when she sees the bag that I have to give her a little crockfull to settle her down.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My birds love it

I read all the bad reviews on this product, but the more I looked at the picture, the more I thought my birds would like it. I have two conures, a male and a female, and as soon as I put some in a dish they were into it. The female found the bag and tore it open, I had to put the rest in a plastic container to get her out of it. I have never gotten a bad product from this company. As soon as I determine how often I need to refill, I will be putting this food on auto-refill.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not the same blend it used to be

My birds did not like this at all. I had to mix some other brand in with it to try to trick them. Way too much millet that they won't touch. Very little safflower and the sunflower seeds looked like the type they put in wild bird seed. I will not be ordering this again for my birds.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Conures hated it!

My sun conure and green cheek conures HATED this food! I ended up having to mix it with another blend to get them to eat it. There was way too much "filler" and my birds wouldn't eat the large pink pellets at all--I ended up having to collect them from the bottom of their cage and put them out for the outside birds and other critters. I will not re-purchase, nor would I recommend it to anyone. I feel bad giving such a bad review because I am a big fan of Drs. Foster & Smith and always order from here, but I think you need a major do-over with this one!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very disappointing! Too many sunflower seeds!

The new and improved version of this product is poor and nothing like the prior product which I used for years. It is filled with mostly sunflower seeds and pellets which my bird does not like. Not sure why the product was changed, as the prior product was so much better. You can be sure I will not purchase again. Sunflower seeds should be a treat, not the main staple in their diet!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Conure mix has tons of millet and sunflower seeds. POOR. I was expecting a bag of pellots only and there are few compared to the volume of other stuff. Plus even though the bag says "no artificial colors" the pellets are a weird pink color. Cherry juice or beets are not listed as ingredients so why pink? However, my conure actually likes the pellets, and eats the safflower seeds (too many of those also- they should be a treat) but I think it's a waste of money and I will not reorder. IF I could confirm that the pellets are actually healthy, and IF I could get a bag of ONLY pellets I would because he likes them. I don't hold out any hope for that but I'll phone and talk with someone .... sometime. PS: the wild birds are having a field day with all the seeds I'm passing on to them. LOL

No, I do not recommend this product.

Just Terrible

I have used DFS brand food for my parrots for YEARS! My birds loved it. First the Parrot blend was replaced. My birds wouldn't touch it. Seeds and TONS of sunflower seeds. Not at all healthy. Thought I would go ahead and give a bag of the Conure blend a try, just in case it was better. It's just as awful as the Parrot blend. Really not much difference between the two. It doesn't smell fresh, it doesn't look good. I won't feed it to my birds. I care too much about them and their health. Premium???? Not hardly. DFS you have truly failed with this new series.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Unfit for Birds

My birds ate the old Foster and Smith mix for years and loved it. I bought this new mix assuming it was simply a repacked version of what they had always loved. Nothing could be further from the truth. Now mostly sunflower seeds and pellets they won't touch, except to throw on the floor. I will never buy this mix again.

No, I do not recommend this product.
