4 hungry guinea pigs love their food

Nanisa

I have 4 rescue guinea pigs - 2 girls - Bella and Annabella - from our local animal shelter and 2 boys - Bert and Ernie - from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Since the boys were not successfully neutered they can never all be together but they talk since their cages are next to each other The food that I purchase from Drs. Foster and Smith - Signature Series Premium Adult Guinea Pig Food has been such a success for all 4 They love the dried veggies! I also bought from Drs. Foster and Smith timothy hay - its the best that I have ever purchased - so very fresh. Between the premium adult guinea pig food and the timothy they are really set. Since I garden they also have tons of fresh veggies during the gardening season. I enjoy seeing them so very happy munching away on all their good foods!!!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I very highly recommend Foster & Smith's Signature Series guinea pig food to ALL owners of guinea pigs. It definitely has the proper ingredients supporting guinea pig health. It's #1 ingredient is Timothy grass hay. I've read in many, many places that Timothy hay is much better for adult guinea pigs than alfalfa, (which is the main ingredient in most other foods). One of the other foods I give them does have alfalfa, but the lion's share of their pelleted food is always the Foster & Smith's Signature Series. And.. the best news of all.... both of my girls absolutely LOVE this food. They don't leave one pellet un- accounted for!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Nothing is wasted here, awesome blend. My guinea pigs eat every single pellet and beg for more every time they hear a plastic bag being touched. Through the years I have tried other products, less and more expensive, none of them compare to the quality of this food.

Yes, I recommend this product.

The Signature Series Premium Adult Guinea Pig Food is a nice mix for the guineas. When I've tried other foods, they usually waste half of it. With this mix there is much less waster - they love it!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Guinea pig food

  1. Thank you for your question regarding our Signature Series Premium Adult Guinea Pig food. Our guinea pig food is made primarily of timothy grass hay with other ingredients added to enhance nutrition and boost vitamins and minerals. Corn is very nutritious and we feel that is an important part of our ingredients. Also, research indicates that corn, when part of a balanced diet and in moderation, is not harmful to guinea pigs.

Is it necessary to add vitamin C when feeding Drs. Foster and Smith adult guinea pig food? That is the only prepared food we use.

How much food is in this bag?

  1. Best Answer: 1 pound = 16 oz. or same as 2 cups 8 oz. = 1 cup. So 25 lbs, for every pound you have 2 cups. This should be about = 50 cups. Courtesy of YAHOO.

can 1 month old baby guinea pigs eat this food?

  1. I just wanted to add this to answer when you switch from alfalfa based diet for a baby and move to an adult diet. Hope this helps. They are considered an adult at nine to twelve months old. 0-3 months old is baby, 3-6 months old is young guinea pig, and 9-12 is adult.
