1. Fill litter box with at least 3 inches of Feline Pine Original Cat Litter. 2. Scoop the solid waste daily, and gently shake the box so the good pellets float to the top and the sawdust drops to the bottom. Leave the sawdust in the box as it will still work to absorb moisture and odor. 3. When the box is about 90% sawdust it is time to dispose of it and start with new litter. Do not flush or put into drains. Put used litter into the trash.

Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. Keep this plastic bag away from small children to avoid danger of suffocation.

From Amazing to Horrible

Uhhhhhh

Feline Pine used to be the best cat litter around. What happened? Imagine switching from paper towels to looseleaf paper for cleaning up spills, and that's what the new Feline Pine is like. Urine just flows straight to the bottom of the litter box and forms a pool, in which whole pellets just sit, damp, not absorbing any of it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have used feline pine for 10 years for 3 cats and loved it, not anymore!!!! I called the company a couple times re: the change in the pellets and was told the formula has not changed just the packaging with Arm & Hammer after reading all the recent reviews I now know I'm not the only person who noticed a newer non-absorbent darker pellet, it's a shame I will look for a different litter...very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer the pellet pine products but this doesn't seem to be the same quality as the original litter I purchased from this company. I tried to order SoPhresh b/c I've liked the firmness of their pellets but it wasn't offered online so I went back to the Feline Pine that I got years back - won't do that again. Guess I'll have to go to the store after all to get the better quality SoPhresh only offered in the stores.

I used this litter for years in my multi (for a brief moment 7, average 4) cat household. And then I noticed the shape and color of the litter changed. And then I noticed it no longer smelled particularly piney. And then I noticed that the litter stunk to high heaven. And then I switched brands.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Awful New Formula

MartyB

I used the old formula for 11 years with two cats and loved it. This new Arm & Hammer formula is absolutely terrible and I will no longer use it. This litter used to have a fresh pine scent, break down nicely into sawdust, have very little dustiness, and low tracking. Now the breakdown is powdery, the smell is just weird, and it tracks all over the place. The litter doesn't last as long either. I used to be able to go a full week before changing litter (scooping solids daily) and now I have to change it every few days. Also, the old formula was flushable; there is a warning on the bag now stating not to flush. Terrible, terrible idea to change the formula.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Change Unwelcome

I have used Feline Pine for my two cats since I first discovered it, a couple of years ago. Lately, Ive noticed a change in its composition, and the shorter life it has. I used to have it last at least five or six days. Now I have to change it more often, which means it smells early. The cats track the product almost right away, and I loved the fact, before, that it didn't track. Now it's too costly, and sadly, I will have to go back to a cheaper kind. Please change it back to your old formula! I liked it so much better. In fact I loved it!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Have used feline pine for 15 years. Since company was purchased by Arm and Hammer the quality has tanked. Doesn't absorb, mushy sawdust that sticks to everything, and the bottom of the litter box is wet. I would not recommend this to anyone. what a shame.

Feline Pine Cat Litter

iam alergic to cat litter is that 100% pine okay to use?

Do you carry Feline Pine clumping cat litter eligible for shipping option?

Why did you change the makeup of feline pine pellets?

        1. I had a similar experience and I agree, this product is now horrible. Try Petco's So Phresh Pine Pellets instead: they are as absorbent and fresh-smelling as Feline Pine used to be.

Does anyone know how this works in the Omega Paw litter box? I am buying various litters to try that are non clay to see how they work!,

        1. I have been using Feline Pine for years and I love it. You need to buy a special litter pan so that you can simply shake the used stuff, which turns into sawdust, to the bottom pan then simply scoop it out. Go to the Feline Pine site to see what the litter pan looks like, it's similar to the shifter pan. Works great.

        Has Feline Pine Changed?

        1. Yes! They made it 'extra absorbent' which translates to 'instantly disintegrated' and 'needs to be replaved every three days.' Read the new reviews to see that no one likes the new version. I hope they see this and go back to the original!!!

Is this product recommended for use with miniature pigs that are litter box trained?

        1. I would try Feline Pine Cat Litter; not the clumping kind. I don't see why it would not work with miniature pigs.

Is Feline Pine Original Cat Litter flushable?

        1. I really like Nature's Miracle cat litter which is flushable and clumps but it doesn't form hard clay balls. When exposed to water, it breaks apart quickly. You do have to wash your toilet if you use it though, it can stick to the edges, but because it will not form hard balls like clay, ti will not damage your sewer or septic system like clumping clay litter. Not every Pet Co carries it though. It is also made of pine and smells very fresh and does not have added chemicals. As a bonus, it is very light weight so easy to carry & lasts a long time. I changed to it when my cat got chronic renal failure and was having some problems endign up with a lot of litter on her little footsies and licking all the litter off, was giving her some problems with impaction: because this clumps different (as do pine and corn cob litters in general) kitties will not get impacted and it will not do the same damage to your toilet/septic system.

How can I find out price of an item in a store?

        1. other then going to the store, your best bet it to call the store. i've had questions about items and they were happy to help. but i've noticed that they are busy and itt's easier to see for my self.

h0w do I get my free wide slot scoop?

        1. If you are referring to the wide slot scoop for the Feline Pine Non-Clumping Litter, the offer for the free scoop is usually printed on the bag. If not you can go to their website and click on the info for the litter box near the bottom of the web page which will take you to an order form but it's not free that way. The Feline Pine website is not very user-friendly at all.
