Feed 2-5 crickets per meal, depending on size and species. For smaller fish and reptiles, break crickets into small pieces. Freeze-dried crickets should be offered with other food items appropriate for your pet to diversify its diet and reduce the likelihood of nutritional disease. My sugar gliders LOVE these dried crickets just as much as live ones! They are not usually a fan of dead crickets but love these! So glad I don't have to house any more live (noisy) crickets! Thanks!

The product is fine. I would not recommend then for baby bearded dragons.

My turtles always love these treats. It is so much easier to pick up a pack of these than to try to keep live crickets.

I can handle live crickets, but unfortunately my mother can't, and when I'm away, I needed a solution for that. These are perfect for anyone who doesn't like handling live crickets. On top of that, Leonidas (Leo), my beardie, loved them! I didn't even have to twitch the crickets. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My bearded dragon LOVES these. Sometimes he seems to like them more than the live crickets. Nice to have when I'm not at home to feed him live crickets.

My whites tree frog loves this stuff! I just take a suitable sized one out, place it in front of him, shake it a bit, and he eats it with gusto! I will never go back to live food again. Live food is expensive and smelly. Thank you fluker farms, for such a great product!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Since it's freeze-dried Daphinia, a small crustacean, it floats on the top of the tank for quite awhile. It gives all of the fish time to eat and creates very little waste.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good for turtles right?

  1. Thank you for your inquiry. These are perfectly okay to give a turtle.

I know some lizards like to catch their prey, so is this okay for a panther gecko?

  1. Waxworms don't really move that much, not like mealworms, but if you mix them with mealworms they are a nice treat for a panther that needs to put some weight on.

Will these freeze dried crickets be okay for a Green Water Dragon?

  1. Freeze dried crickets would not be a great staple as they lose their nutritional value being frozen. Water dragons also are insectivores, meaning that they only eat insects, and therefore are more likely to only go for something that is moving. You could hold them in tongs and move them around, but I doubt you'd get much interest. I'd suggest going the worm route (superworms or even roaches etc) if you don't like messy crickets that can bounce out of their container.

Would this be a good food to feed a parrotlet?

  1. Thank you for your question. This food will be fine for parrotlets (you could also use the cockatiel version - smaller pellets). If you are switching diets, we recommend you follow the proper conversion techniques found on the package directions.
