Questions
Will Frontline for cats kill ear mites?
- Unfortunately I think Advantage is the only one that does that. However it is strictly for fleas. Will not kill ticks. I keep waiting for them to do that.

Who manufactures Frontline Plus?
- Thank you for your question. Merial manufactures Frontline products.

After using Frontline for cats, do the dead ticks fall off, or do I still have to try to dislodge them with tweezers?
- I noticed after my cat got up from her towel she lays on, the flea's had fallen off and were dead. But there were still a few alive flea's at her paws and on her face.

What ingredient does Frontline have that others don't that make it effective for killing ticks.
- Frontline has fipronil & that kills fleas, ticks and lice. Almost all of the topical flea products kill ticks. Maybe you're confused about the growth inhibitor. While all flea topicals kill ticks, they don't all kill the EGGS. Frontline has a chemical called methoprene and this kills eggs & larvae. A few of the other more expensive flea topicals have a growth inhibitor, killing eggs & larvae.

Is this product epa approved?
Yesterday i applied Fronline Plus to my adult cat. She isnt a lap cat and was fussing to be let go
- No, it is bad for your cats health to reapply outside of the directions. It takes a little while to start working. If you are concerned about immediate flea removal try the tablets they are fast working and are for use with a topical.

I bathed my cats first and then applied frontline 2 but 3 weeks later they are still full of fleas.
- If your cat is infested you need to also treat your house and bedding You need to treat the entire problem not just the cat

Doesn't Frontline for cats come in different dosages for different weights?
- Frontline is good for all cats over 2 months old.

Is frontline Plus effective for ear mites in cats?
- If your cat has ear mites (signs include brown gummy substance consistency somewhat like Nutella spead inside ears), take it seriously and get your cat to the vet. Most over the counter flea medications do not clear up ear mites. You need a prescription flea medication like Revolution which treats for fleas, ticks and ear mites. My cat had ear mites and the vet carefully cleaned the ear of mite debris and sent me home with a 3-Pk of Revolution. It is applied exactly like Frontline. The first application worked and killed any remaining mites. The next two months I used up the other two applications, then I went back to using Frontline Plus For Cats from Petco as it was half the price. Don't mess with ear mites yourself. You can damage their inner ear drum by trying to clean up debris with Q-tip. If you love your pet, this is one time a vet visit is a must.
