How many watts or lumens is this light?
- Thank you for your question. The true wattage draw varies between 1 watt and 2.25 watts depending on the LEDs illuminated as the device rotates through its sequence. The universal smart transformer supply (100-240V, 50/60Hz) itself has a rated draw of 0.3A which at 120V would be 36 W but it is trumped by the rated max output which is 400mA at 15 VDC which would be 6 W. So the transformer is very capable of powering the device and the true power consumption is about a third of a conventional night light.

- Thank you for your question. The light does not automatically switch modes. However, you may attach a timer to the light. Simply plug the light into your timer and select the desired light mode. Your light will turn on to the last mode selected.

- Thank you for your question. The 8" light, Item# 103818 is for use in 5 gallon aquariums. You are able to use one lighting at all times if you wish. To switch between light modes: Simply press the button on the light switch until you reach the desired light mode. However, do not leave the light turned on throughout the night. Fish benefit from alternating periods of light and darkness.
