Sizing a little bit generous

My dog is losing her senses of sight and hearing..... thus making communication difficult at times when walking her. This harness had worked FINE so far. I LOVE the double lead link over the connection hook!! She cannot break out of the harness that way.
Het girth I double checked at 20".
I wish, now that I had opted for the small size, rather than medium, as I feel I could have had MORE leeway in fitting her a bit more SNUGGLEY.... and safely. Overall, I love the harness.
