Green cheek conure likes it

JetandJonesmom

My green cheek conure likes this mix—hooray! He will not eat pelleted food. This mix has a nice variety and he is interested in most of it. I wish it didn’t have so much white millet. It is too small for my conure and he won’t eat it. I was pleasantly surprised this morning when he was on my shoulder and I noticed his breath smells like licorice from the anise! I’ll probably keep trying him on a pellet diet occasionally, but in the meantime, this mix is working well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have a very picky green cheek conure. I mix this food with a few other conure foods and this seems to never be fully eaten so a lot of it gets thrown away.

Healthier Thriving Conure

My Nanday/Jenday Conure is 16 years old. Over the years I have tried many types of food. She eats a lot of what I eat and that has made me eat healthier, but she always plucked her orange feathers from her chest. Not to the skin, but to the downy feathers. Since I mixed the Higgins Mayan Harvest Yucatan 1/2 & 1/2 with her staple food she is thriving and no longer plucking.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My birds love this stuff. I have 2 parakeets, and a Quaker. They all eat different seeds out of the mix. I sprinkle a little bit of it over their fruits and vegies every morning. The star anise in it makes my bird room smell wonderful!

Yes, I recommend this product.

As a treat I give a small amount of Mayan Harvest to my Senegal to supplement her pellets and veggies. When I get home from work the food cup used for Mayan Harvest is always empty.

I have a quaker and cunure this brand is a good option for them??

  1. Yes. I have a quaker and three conures. This is their favorite mix. The sizes of the various items are good.

Confused about the ingredients!

  1. liam, there are no snflower seeds in the shell for sure. There are a number of smaller seeds, and I am not sure if I could distinguish an out of shell or sunflower chip from anything else. Keep in mind that items vary at times likely based on availability, price and other factors.

I own a Parrotlet. I was wondering if you can recommend a type of food. I have tried the Vokmann Parrotlet seed, but She doesn't seem to love. Thanks.

  1. My parrotlets like Roudybush mini or crumbles. For variety I also feed a small amount of ZuPreem Pure Fun and they go crazy over that.
