My bettas love it

Betta Bio-Gold floats long enough for the fish to find it, doesn't seem to cloud the water, and I find it easier to feed than flakes. Very pleased with it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Well Worth the Purchase

My four fish bowls are still clean after three weeks of feeding this product instead of the larger pellets and flakes. More importantly, my four betas are very happy that these fit in their little mouths; they never spit them out. The fish bowls were generally looking dirty after just one week with their previous foods. Buy 'em - you won't be sorry and neither will your fish. Also, my red fish has had his bright color restored since he began eating this food. The other three look the same vibrant color they always were.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Hakari is one of the leaders in quality fish nutrition and this product is no exception. One of the best characteristics is that it doesn't immediately sink and your little buddy will have time to spot and eat the food. The pellets are the perfect size for mature fish and are very consistent in size. Unlike some other brands, no sorting is necessary. The dispenser pack allows you to measure the amount of food to avoid overfeeding. I've never had a Betta turn up his nose at these pellets. They turn up their mouths and chow it down!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have tried several different types of food for my betta, Rasta, who is extremely difficult to please when it comes to his food! Even food that he likes he will only eat in the mornings but prefers something different at nighttime,to which I oblige. (What can I say,I spoil all my pets!)I find with this food he actually looks forward to it and have been able to give it to him mornings and nights, only switching it up with his other food only twice during the weeks, which is shock to me since I've had him to years!I would definitely recommend this product and will repurchase when it runs out!Great price compared to the pet specialty stores, which is definitely a plus!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I've bought only this betta food for as long as I can remember. I had my previous betta for over 5 years and he ate nothing but these pellets. Highly recommended.

Betta Bio Gold food....

  1. When you put the pellet in the water; take a toothpick and move the pellet around a bit; this attracts the fish to eat; if this does not work; take 2 or 3 pellets and put a dot of fish oil on the pellets; wait; then add one to the tank; I like these pellets;

Can/will neon tetras and ghost shrimp eat these?

Why does my fish spit out his food?

    1. Usually this behavior is because the size of the food is too big. I would recommend finding a smaller food. Of course, your Betts may just be picky. I use and recommend aqueon Betta food.

    Does this food float?

    1. yes, if they don't eat it fast enough

What should I feed my baby bettas?

    1. The Betts that they sell are old enough to be fed normal Betts food. Just make sure you crush it up a little so that it will fit into their mouths.

How much should I feed a KING betta?

    1. I would definitely not feed him any more than 8- I feed all of my regular sized bettas about 3-4 pellets a day and they're just fine. Bettas are greedy and many will eat far past the point of neccessity haha. It's always better to under-feed than over-feed, and to have one day off a week to let the fish's digestive system clear out, which reduces the risk of impaction which can kill a fish.

how many pellets should i give my fish a day? i give my fish hikari betta bio gold.

    1. You should feed your fish 2 -4 pellets twice a day

I have a 600 gallon pond with a Red=Eared Slider turtle in it. I live in extreme heat and having problems keeping my water clean.

    1. Thank you for your queation. Do you have any type of aeration device running in your pond? If not, try adding an aeration kit; proper oxygen exchange is vital for the health of your pond. http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=5163+9326+8556&pcatid=8556 Also, you may want to add some "bog" plants to the edge to help aid filtration. Here's an article that details how to build a "Bog Filter". http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/pic/article.cfm?c=5163&articleid=2153&d=159&category=245
